Cake Controller
The tried and tested Cake Controller from Chemap® can be fitted to every pressure plate filter with a sight glass port and enables fully automatic operation even with difficult filtration conditions. The Cake Controller cyclically monitors the cake thickness on the filter plates. As soon as the desired cake height has been reached, the infeed of the product is interrupted by a signal and the next process steps are triggered.
The Cake Controller serves the automatic and, therefore, economic filtration process and the reproducibility of the filtration. In addition to a significant increase in capacity in the filter performance, the Cake Controller also prevents the overloading of the filter plates and therefore makes an important contribution to the operational reliability and to a massive reduction in maintenance costs.
